EMMA and Agfa Graphics announce strategic partnership

The European Magazine Media Association, the representation of European magazine media, and Agfa Graphics, the world leader in prepress solutions announce the launch of a new strategic partnership.

This partnership allows Agfa Graphics to be close to strategic decision makers in Europe’s magazine sector and follow the developments in the EMMA network in a fast changing business environment. EMMA provides access to business leaders and National Associations across Europe. Agfa Graphics and EMMA will meet regularly to update one another on the latest trends in their respective fields.

As an exclusive strategic partner in the print and digital value chain, Agfa Graphics is an ideal sounding board and provides the EMMA network with insights from the production side. Enlarging EMMA’s views and arguments to the entire value chain, will give EMMA a stronger position in promoting publishers concerns in our contacts with the European institutions.

"Our mission as an industry supplier is to enable printing and graphics professionals to run a profitable business be it with plate technologies, workflow software or with recent innovations like Eversify for mobile publications,” said Guy Desmet, Head of Global Communications and Prepress Marketing at Agfa Graphics. “We look forward to sharing our view on the market dynamics and technology evolution with EMMA and its international network while at the same time learning and understanding wider the challenges of our clients.”

EMMA President Auke Visser says “magazine publishers across Europe welcome the initiative of Agfa Graphics to join forces with the magazine media to promote the interests of publishers vis-à-vis the European institutions. Standing closely together in the print and digital value chain is key in order to make sure that appropriate framework conditions for magazine publishing are maintained.”

After a first cooperation at the EMMA Media Night in 2014, Agfa Graphics joined EMMA on 1 January 2015.
