The 4th edition of the EU Health Prize for Journalists is launched. All journalists are invited to submit their articles published in print or online media in any EU Member State between 25 July 2011 and 31 July 2012. Submissions are open until 31 July 2012. The articles must relate to one of the 13 health topics (click here to see the rules), on active and healthy ageing or on smoking cessation.
FIPP Research Award 2012: congratulations to Spanish EMMA member ARI
The Spanish Magazines Association, ARI, has won the overall prize at the FIPP Research Awards on 29 May 2012 in London. The entry, ‘ATENEA’, won the award for Best Research by a National Association, and was the Overall Winner.

European Magazine Media Night in Brussels impressed with highest level key note speeches
About 200 participants from the European Institutions, Europe’s magazine media and other stakeholders from across Europe attended the European Magazine Media Night on 28 February in Brussels. European Commissioner Barnier, demonstrating his support for the Berlin Declaration on the Future of the Digital Press, which EMMA launched 1 year ago, highlighted in his keynote speech four key requirements for the press and its digital future.
More than 75 media experts from across Europe registered already for the kick-off session of the Future Media Lab. on 29 February 2012 in Brussels. Keynote speakers and panelists include representatives of Facebook, Google, Samsung, paper manufacturer Sappi, Axel Springer, the editor-in-chief of Elsevier magazine (NL), VUB and Rights Direct.
